If you would like to receive 15 PDP credits for your engagement in the Spanish for School Staff program, you will fulfill two requirements:
1) Engage in the program for a total of 15 hours (any combination of self-directed learning/practice and engagement in virtual sessions)
2) Complete a "final application" project by the end of the program
HOW TO: Log hours of engagement
When you signed up for the program, you indicated if you would like to receive 15 PDPs for your participation. Those who responded "YES" will find their name on a tab at the bottom of the following spreadsheet:
LINK: Find your name on datasheet tab and LOG HOURS HERE
Please select the tab with your name, and log the activities and time engaged in the program on your personalized sheet.
When the program is complete, our course administrators will total your hours of engagement, and share this information with ARPS, who will confer your PDP credits. To receive the 15 PDPs, you should aim to log 15 hours of course engagement (including virtual sessions, if relevant).
If you do NOT see your name in a tab on this shared database, please add your name to our PDP list, and our course administrators will add a new tab with your name.

HOW TO: Complete "Final Application"
To receive 15 PDPs, you will plan and complete a "final application" project, which aims to apply what you have learned through preparing Spanish resources for your school environment.
Beginner speakers of Spanish typically produce a basic communication material for Spanish-speaking students or their families. Please indicate your preference for project type by completing this Google Form:
Welcome letter from you to the student/family
Spanish word list or sign for the school space
OTHER simple language-based project (your choice)
The timeline for the design and completion of final application projects for Spring 2022 is as follows:
MONTH of April: Conceptualization of project
Reflect on your own school routine/school space--where would you like to see some communication resources IN SPANISH?
MAY 1 - 13th: Completing and editing project
Participants will use their own knowledge and skills to produce the project, and then our course administrators will provide a native edit of the materials so that they can be shared with the Spanish-speaking public.
