Beginner Spanish I for School Faculty/Staff is an introductory online course designed for TRUE BEGINNERS who have have no significant previous exposure to Spanish.
In this 6-week course, which includes approximately 20 hours of engagement, participants can learn the basics of functional communication in Spanish, with a specific focus on communicating in a school setting:
Pronunciation of Spanish sounds, oral expression and listening skills
Beginning Spanish reading & writing skills for school-based tasks
Vocabulary and structure for use in an educational & community setting
Sociocultural topics related to the local educational environment
Teachers who wish to earn 15 PDPs will log their hours & complete a final application.
Those who do not need PDPs may drop in or access content as they are able.
