Dr Naseer Ahmed is working as a mathematics lecturer in the department of information technology, Nizwa College of Technology, Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman. He also concurrently holds the positions Coordinator for E-Assessment and Coordinator for Math Placement Test. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics (graph theory) from Bharathidasan University. In addition, he has MPhil and BEd degree in mathematics, also PGDCA and AMIE(A) in computer science. He published sixteen research papers in the reputed international journals. He has done the real time project titled ”Paperless General Foundation Program Mathematics Courses in Nizwa College of Technology” in AY 2015-2016 and acted as the faculty mentor for the FURAP funded project titled ”Analysis and Enhancement of Traffic Signal System in Nizwa” in AY 2016-2017 and now he is the Principal Investigator for the project titled ”A Novel Approach for Allocation and Scheduling Problem with uncertainty using Graph Theory” funded by The Research Council (TRC), Sultanate of Oman. He is acting as a reviewer for couple of international journals. He has attended and presented in national and international conferences and presently works in the area of domination, coloring and uncertainty in graph theory, and the area of innovative teaching and learning methodology which adopts e-assessment for mathematics courses. He is the member of different mathematics and FOSS community. Not only in scientific research, Dr.Naseer is also contributed three research papers and two in-house projects for enhancing mathematics education through ICT. He is certified and well versed expert in the learning management system (LMS) Moodle for teachers. He has recently awarded as ”MOODLER” of the AY 2018-2019 in his college. He has been delivering several special/guest lectures, and conducted workshops in the higher educational institutions since 2010. He coordinated several in-house, national and international conferences, workshops and seminars in the various fields along with his 13 years of academic experience as mathematics faculty. He is an expert in demonstrating the math FOSS LaTeX, eXe, GeoGebra and Moodle. Presently, he is working on the project blended learning through assessment mathematics course in general foundation program. He could demonstrate almost all the question types which supports the paper less assessment for the courses that have more math content. In his 7 years at Nizwa College of Technology, He has provided leadership in several key initiatives. He has conducted several training programs for all the math and engineering staff members in Oman.
