Is a USMS Level 2 certified coach and has been coaching the team for close to 15 years.
Current COMSA appointment as the Safety.
During this time, as a swimmer representing the BG's, I have swum the Horsetooth 10K in 2014, the Horsetooth 1.2 mile in 2015 and 2017, I have 84 swims as a BG with USMS and 1 top ten time (as a Colorado Masters Swimmer, CMS).
In 2013 I became a Level 2 certified coach through ASCA/USMS and still hold the certification, it was the first year USMS offered the training. For the 2017-2018 swim season, I was named Colorado Masters Coach of the year.
At the 2023 Spring National's, we had one of the highest representations for Broomfield BG's, with 5 athletes competing, including myself. During the meet I spent 7.5 hours as an On Deck Coach volunteering my time.
My coaching background also includes 2-3 years with the Westminster CARA program, a year of High School at Standley Lake (back in college for both), and currently the assistant coach at Horizon High School for both Girls and Boys. I also coached for a USA Team for about a year, I am also a USA Swimming Official, and have spent countless hours on deck as a Stroke and Turn, Chief Judge, Starter and an Open Water Judge.
