This is a rough idea of how many wasps might be in a nest

1. Golf ball  = 1-30  wasps

2. Tennis Ball  = 30 - 200 wasps

3. Grapefruit = 200-500

4. Football =  500 - 1500

5. Basketball = 1500 - 3000

6. Beach Ball  > 3000  - 5000

7. Larger than Beach ball 5000 - 50000+
   
   

It is not uncommon to have a number of wasp nests  on your property. These can emerge over the course of the season.  If additional nests are on the property they are treated at a good  discounted rate subject  to location, size,  accessibility  etc .

However, if  you are unfortunately home to other wasps after the first nest has been treated - a charge will be incurred.

Queen wasps search from house to house to find a suitable spot to start construction and it is not uncommon for a queen flying past your house to pick up on the smell of a dead nest.

To help reduce the risk of secondary wasp nests wherever possible remove any old nests. Wasp nests have a smell that can attract other wasps. However, while removing the nest can reduce your risk of reinvasion there are numerous nooks and crannies wasps can start building.

A treated nest will have poison within and around it so professional wasp nest removal is advised.
