We’re fortunate to receive more applications than we have space for, so we use a set of criteria to help us make thoughtful and fair selections. Here’s what we look for:
Customer Appeal
We consider how well a vendor’s products are likely to connect with our shoppers—whether they’re useful, unique, giftable, or eye-catching - as well as being within their budget.
Clear and Focused Product Offering
We tend to prioritize vendors with a consistent and cohesive product line, rather than a broad mix.
Category Balance
To offer variety and avoid oversaturation, we limit the number of vendors in each category (only one handmade candle vendor, one soap vendor, etc.).
Visual Presentation
Photos of your products and/or previous booth setups help us get a sense of the overall quality and appearance of your display.
Originality and Craftsmanship
We give preference to handmade, locally made, or thoughtfully curated products—especially those that bring something new or distinctive to the market.
Balance of New and Returning Vendors
We aim to maintain a mix of returning favourites and fresh faces to keep the market exciting for both vendors and shoppers.
Online Presence and Promotion
A website, social media page, or active online presence gives us a better sense of your brand and helps us promote the event. Vendors who actively share their brands and promote markets are a huge asset.
Location
Preference is given to local businesses. Supporting local means customers can easily return to purchase from you long after the market has ended.
Youth Involvement
We love to support youth entrepreneurs whenever possible.
