This year, it is my pleasure and great privilege to present to you Bedan Law Review's ninth volume with the theme The Outbreak, Breakdowns, and Breakthroughs. The thought behind the theme is to be inclusive of both the positive and negative realities that transpired during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that while there were significant events that shook the nation, there are also developments that reshaped the same progressively. 

Featured in this volume are articles of highly esteemed members of the legal profession, joined by students of San Beda College Alabang School of Law who imparted their legally informed opinions regarding the current events at the time of the production of this volume. 

In this edition, get to know the government's pandemic response and the significant legal developments in these relief measures against the pandemic's effects on different sectors such as employment, tourism, court litigation, taxation, and human rights. Likewise, a variety of articles on different aspects of the law are included which would be of interest to the readership of this journal.
