The Bedan Law Review is a student-run organization whose primary function is to publish a journal of legal scholarship. In addition, BLR aims to provide a forum for intellectual discussion in various fields of law and a venue for the meeting of legal ideas and of opinions that are of interest to the Bedan community and the Filipino nation. BLR is the official law journal of San Beda College Alabang School of Law; the Editorial Board, however, possesses independence as to the contents of the law journal.
BLR serves as a training ground for law students for the practice of the legal profession, which involves a great deal of analytical thinking and intellectual writing, and offers the legal community an excellent source of literature for legal research. Its members are third- and fourth-year Bedan Law students who are selected after a meticulous application process.
The organization publishes a print issue annually, at the start of every year. Online versions of issues are released in July of the year prior. BLR publishes law articles, critiques, and book reviews by contributors – academics as well as judges and practitioners – alongside pieces by student editors, including Notes as well as commentaries on recent jurisprudence, newly enacted laws, and other legal developments. All pieces undergo a thorough editorial process. Authors interested in publishing in BLR are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration.
