Wonyoung Kim is a versatile crip. He is a lawyer, author of some bestselling books and performer who made a number of stage appearances in his wheelchair.
As a lawyer and writer, he believes in the apparatus of language, which makes the actual difference in the world by setting up regulations to secure the livable life of the disabled. As a performing artist, however, he has been deeply concerned that there is a certain crucial aspect of existence beyond the language, which defies any kind of regulation: the body.
Form an unstoppable aspiration to validate each and everyone's body as the singular and beautiful, he has been working both in theatre and dance. Major works that he appeared in include Love and Friendship Discrimination Act(2019) and Struggle for Recognition: The Artists(2019).

From the idea that the possibility of contemporary choreography might exist in and as its (im)possibility, they have been exploring the dissensus between choreography — the written, certain, closed and complete — and dance — the bodily, uncertain, gaping and imperfect.
Major creative works include Swim the Abyss(2017-18) Questions(2019), Practica Geometriae(2020) and Quad (2020-21).
