I was with early critics before I saw this for myself. Who would want to know the backstory of the woman who skins puppies? I think this movie made all the right changes, and drew inspiration from each iteration of the character that came before it. Initially I was just drawn in to see both Emmas. So I was pleasantly surprised to see Mark Strong, and enjoyed everyone's performance. It makes you care about Cruella, as well as her henchman Horace and Jasper. The dogs are cute and the fashion is beautiful, but that's not all this movie has going for it.

Sofia Carson is a brilliant performer, as evidenced by her breakout role in Descendants. But the entire young cast shines here. The movie starts out somewhat shaky, but once it finds its footing - it really picks up the pace. Plenty of pleasant surprises, and each dance student's story is deeper than the trailer lets on. Left me wanting more, and made my hands hurt from clapping!

Went into this thinking: "I like the leads; it looks cute" and came out of it with life lessons. The movie presents neither as a satellite to the other, splitting the focus to show the supporting players in their lives. Beyond romance, Marry Me is about friendship, family and self-love. Crazy as the circumstance may be, when the credits roll it's important to take away this: No matter how bright the spotlight, people are people. And even the most ordinary is a star.

When the trailer dropped, I was equal parts excited and confused. Although I have done a ton of Marvel viewing since last February, I knew next-to-nothing about this character. The more I learn, the more I love! Moon Knight is already shaping up to be a masterpiece in every aspect of its being. A break from the usual formula- that will no doubt bring back the Egypt obsession of my teens.

I marathoned this show in a two-day span while dog sitting. It breaks from the modern Disney Channel formula in that it's a mystery. The first thing I noticed that gave it more realism were the scenes outside. The setting is so important to the story- hence why it's in the title. There were a few moments that caught me off guard with just how much drama they brought, one even made me tear up. Each episode had me theorizing. I'm excited to uncover what the next season brings!
