Loose and lost
Uninterested in the pain of connection, and the pace at which it moves
Starved for touch that’s devoid of feeling
Trickster in the trade, grand-schemer in the game
Gossipy and gorging
Lust for a full life
Unconcerned and ill-acquainted with responsibility
Taking up so much time
Telling lies -even unspoken- it’s supposed to be this bad
Opposed to any change
Nose-deep in self-sold punishment
Yet firm in insisting all is fine
Getting hands on the last scrap of slim pickings
Reluctant to weigh in on any game of chance
Every cent saved
Even being asked for a little would mean too much
Don’t label it gluttony, life is just rough
Slow and unsteady
Lackadaisical and leering as others antagonize
Only greed for glory would be an incentive for interjection
The victims deserve blame
Hesitance is quite the cunning killer
Withered patience, wretched sloth
Reasons others pay the cost
Anger is the answer
Taking the easy way out
How else is there, to be heard?
Evening the score, adversaries incur the wrath
No sense in taking another path
Viridian violence, nearly all that’s left
Youth, beauty, possessions, money, time: what is yours, but should be mine
Peace left a chaotic mind
Reason followed right behind
I am the best there will ever be,
Don’t even try to challenge me
Envy me yet?

A target
A motive
A tragedy (one that made you up, or one in the making)
A master plan
A monologue
A path to stray from
A reputation (real or not)
Sharp things - weapons, wit or words
Underlings, a following (cover or coverage)
And a name worth fearing
