Mission of the project
To explore the emotional side of the actor and how does one unconventionally express themselves on stage while also being danergous by going agianst societal norms. As well as bringing Black Culture to the stage.

I’m a person who wears her emotions on her sleeves, feeling every emotion x 10. Sometimes my emotions work in my favor, but it can also be overwhelming and stressful. I want to learn how to translate my emotions on stage, in an unconventional expressive way. As well as exploring more of the experimental side of avant garde theater. We are in an era of realism within theater and I think there is time for something new or out of the norm, and I want to dive more into that.

Because art should be dangerous! Art should push the limits and ignite a fire inside of people to want to make change. We live in a time where we shouldn’t be afraid to be bold. Artists should be expressive about what they feel and what's on the inside. Artists should also be bold and break the box!
How will this help me?
How will this help me?
I believe this research will help guide me in the right direction towards the type of art I want to make. As an expressive and sensitive human, I want to learn how to bring that to my characters and to the stage. With my body, voice, and creative choices, I want to explore how to be expressive on stage in unconventional ways. In addition to that, I want my art to speak about important things and be the NEW!
