The 2019 - 2020 Beazley Computer Science Implementation Plan was approved and supported by the administration team!  Teachers participated in monthly PLCs (Professional Learning Communities), unpacking grade level CS standards, identifying the verbs and essential vocabulary scoped and sequenced across grade bands.  Teachers were challenged and enjoyed the hands-on unplugged activities and easily aligned the CS concepts with core content areas, like math, reading and science. 

 Understanding the language (vocabulary) and basic concepts were essential for teachers to obtain the confidence necessary to integrate CS concepts.  So, relax, unpack the computer science standards, and change the pedagogy in your classroom!
