Repeater Enhancement Project

Current Status

The BEARS have submitted a proposal to Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) for a grant to fund our project. Here's a description of the project:

• Refurbish the K7NWS West Tiger Mountain repeater to recover performance lost to environmental degradation.

• Upgrade by adding analog and digital voice communications channels, and by digital networking.

• Enhance by incorporating state-of-the-art radio communications technology

Taken together these objectives provide a scalable system that offers enhancement of multiple communications systems providing EMCOMM support to the public, based on advanced digital data communication technology over amateur radio.
