For the 2024 Beacon Conference, all Committees are collaborative. This means that instead of preparing a bill to debate during the conference, you will be briefed on a set of issues, and write and debate bills during the committee sessions.
Both House and Senate committees will follow the exact same Parli-Pro – sorry, no filibustering in the Senate!

Founded in 1913, the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs is responsible for overseeing financial regulations and housing policy. With oversight over HUD, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the SEC, the committee deals with monetary policy, affordable housing, and community development.
The Judiciary committee considers a wide variety of issues, from criminal justice, to copyrights, to civil liberties. It also has oversight of the Department of Justice (including all of its related agencies, such as the FBI and DEA), and is perhaps best known for reviewing judicial and executive nominations (for example, Supreme Court/Cabinet nominations).
Founded in 1945, the United Nations is an intergovernmental organization tasked with promoting international cooperation, peace, and security. Through resolutions and diplomatic meetings, the UN seeks to resolve conflicts, uphold human rights, and promote sustainable development. Special collaboration with Beacon MUN.
The Foreign Affairs committee deals with relations with foreign nations, international economic policy (including importation and exportation rules, foreign loans, and international commodity agreements), protection of Americans abroad, and the United Nations. While the President truly holds the reins in this sphere, the IR committee does a lot to influence his decisions regarding foreign affairs
