While it won't be strictly enforced, delegates are expected to dress in Western Business Attire for the duration of the conference. This could mean a suit or a nice button-down shirt. Additionally, skirts and formal dresses are acceptable. Here is the link to a video that’s very helpful in explaining outfits for Model Congress, (but keep in mind they are more strict about rules in the video than leaders at our conference will be).
When writing a bill, first start by considering what issues within your committee interest you. For example, if you're in the Senate Commerce, Science and Technology, maybe you'd like to write a bill adressing AI regulation, or adressing pollution in our waters-- you'll find that committees often cover broader ranges of topics than you might think! Next, make sure what you want to do can be regulated federally, and then start writing your bill. Make sure you research previous legislation on the topic to get an idea of what has been or could be done (not all proposed legislation has become law!).
