ZOOM Expectations

Be Responsible

  • Find a quiet place to do your work

  • Beds are not good places to Zoom - tables and desks are great - if they are not available you may need a clipboard

  • Use the bathroom, get water, etc right before your zoom session so you are ready to learn

  • Have all your materials ready to join the Zoom and participate (pencils and paper and any other materials that your teacher has requested you have)

  • Make sure that your iPad is charged and ready to go

  • Keep TVs, music, video games and cell phones turned off while on Zoom

  • Wear appropriate clothing while on Zoom

  • Do not use backgrounds, these are very distracting.

  • Teachers need to see you the whole time during Zoom

Be Respectful

  • Don't say negative things to your peers in virtual class

  • Stay focused and engaged during your Zoom class

  • Follow directions and complete work

  • Be respectful to the adults/older siblings who may be helping at home.

  • Follow the expectations set up by your teacher about how and when to ask and answer questions

  • Proper use of mute button and only use unmute when given permission

  • Stay muted during teacher instruction

  • Use chat box appropriately

  • Be mindful of what is behind you when you are on Zoom

Be Safe

  • Only go to websites/links that your teacher has provided

  • Don't communicate with people that you don't know on the internet

  • Don't give out your personal information (name, address, phone number) to people on the internet

  • Keep food and drink away from electronics

  • Do not share Zoom meeting numbers or passwords with strangers.
