Prof. George Dekoulis received a PhD in Communications Systems from the Computing & Communications Department at Lancaster University, UK, in 2007. He was awarded a 1st Class Distinctions BEng (Hons) in Communications Engineering degree from the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media at De Montfort University, UK, in 2001. He received several awards from STFC, UK and EPSRC, UK and the “IET Hudswell International Research Scholarship”. Has managed known funding of > 20 M€ for over 30 major research projects. External collaborator to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), USA. Chief Experience Officer (CXO) in Space Engineering and Honorary Professor at Prometheus Space Technologies, Greece. Honorary professor at Aerospace Engineering Institute (AEI), Cyprus. Founder & Chair of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS) - Cyprus. General Chair of IEEE Aerospace Engineering Innovations 2019 (IEEE AEI 2019) Symposium, 20-23 April 2019, Limassol, Cyprus. Academic advisor/Acting Dean of Sciences to well-known world-class Universities and Colleges. He previously worked as a professor in Computer Science and Advanced Technologies at numerous Universities and University Departments. His research is focused on the design of innovative reconfigurable computing systems.
