The objectives of this Foundation are to serve poor villages in remote areas throughout the kingdom with free medical assistance. For over thirty years it has been organising trips taking volunteers doctors, dentists, nurses, medical students, physical therapists and various helpers to the rural areas.
Over 250,000 patients have been treated in 52 provinces, with some villages over 800 km away. Usually two coaches are needed for transporting helpers, medicines and equipment.
The medical problems that they deal with vary from simple complaints to ailments requiring operations, including eye, dental, breast and cervical cancer. In some case the patients are brought to the provincial hospital or Bangkok for further treatment.
BCTFN assists RAMA by supplying funds for medical consumables and drugs used on these trips.
Thank you for supporting the Ploenchit Fair and making this important work possible.
