Working in the areas around Chiang Mai, WIN’s present focus is Project Protein. In keeping with the teachings of the late King on sustainability, WIN helps mountain villages establish demonstration projects such as raising chickens, frogs, and fish as well as growing mushrooms and organic vegetables.

Project WIN means grassroot partnership, with volunteers working alongside local villagers for everything from flood relief to updating schools.

During a year, volunteer student leaders and the project director meet with village elders and local teachers to assess needs and capability and then ultimately select a village most likely to benefit from the demonstration project.

Your donations from supporting the Ploenchit Fair go towards helping with the installation of the various elements required, a concrete fishpond, village vegetable gardens and a centralised poultry operation.
