If I can help you with a quick call or email, I'm not going to charge anybody for that conversation and coffee. 

I'm also retired and not looking to build the next great company or cause a "price war" with others in the business.  My pricing is in-line with industry standards.

Repair/Upgrade
Budget $35 - $50 per hour as an estimate on what's required. Could work out to less and we will agree PRIOR to anything being done based on your budget. No surprises.
Please note that I will not pay for parts in advance or wear responsibility for data loss. 

Remote Support
Oooooooo. This is FUN! I send you a request to connect to your computer and you get to watch me work. NO software is installed on your computer and when the secure session terminates, it's terminated.
This is good for configuration issues and adjustments,  software installs, anti-viral/spyware, or maintenance.
Standard is $1.00 per minute. Listen, you will be thoroughly entertained.

Data Transfer/Recovery
Whoooooooo Hooooooo!! This can go either way and carries some risks, so you need to make certain you have backed up your critical data AND have your software licenses to re-install your programs.
This can salvage data from a failing drive and seed it to a replacement drive - or wherever else you plan to store/use it.
Shop rate applies and NOBODY is liable for data loss moving/recovering data. 

Overload
If your shop is overloaded and you need a hand, reach out. Ethically, you are my client and I won't steal your customers. We can negotiate rate.
