MotorCityScape is a local board-game app that uses a Detroit and Windsor map journey, player setup information, game progress, speech narration, AirPlay controls, and age-safety controls.
MotorCityScape may ask for:
- Human player names, so the app can show and read the correct player name during turns, logs, and the end-game summary.
- Human player birthdays, so the app can place players into age ranges and restrict social or user-generated-content features for players under 13.
- Game settings, such as starting cash, win goals, number of players, and player types.
- Game progress, including cash, net wealth, investments, experience, dice rolls, selected actions, and final summary results.
MotorCityScape asks for birthdays only to determine an age range for safety. Players under 13 do not have access to social sharing features. The app also uses Apple's Declared Age Range request when available and keeps its own birthday-based safety gate in the game settings.
The app does not need birthdays for advertising, tracking, or profiling. Exact birthdays are used only inside the app experience.
MotorCityScape is designed to deliver age-appropriate content.
- Players under 13 cannot use social sharing.
- Shared content is app-written game progress text only.
- The app does not allow free-form public posting, public chat, public profiles, or open user-generated content feeds.
- Player names are used inside the game and may appear in local game summaries.
MotorCityScape uses Apple MapKit to display game-board locations around Detroit and Windsor. The app uses fixed game-board marker locations. It does not require the player's current location to play.
MotorCityScape can read player names, moves, locations, choices, marker cards, and Help topics aloud. Speech is generated on the device for gameplay accessibility and does not require recording the user's voice.
MotorCityScape includes AirPlay controls so players can mirror the game board to a TV. AirPlay routing is handled by Apple's system controls.
MotorCityScape does not sell personal information. The app does not use personal information for third-party advertising.
Apple system services, such as MapKit, AirPlay, and Declared Age Range, may process information according to Apple's privacy policies and system behavior.
Game information is used to run the current game session and show progress during play. If future versions save game settings or history, that data should remain limited to what is needed for gameplay and safety features.
MotorCityScape restricts social sharing for players under 13. The app uses birthday-based age ranges and the Declared Age Range request to help keep content and sharing age appropriate.
