Mechanical Engineering Department (Grant-In-Aid) established with the inception of Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology (BBIT) in August, 1958 with intake capacity of 60 students, which was raised to 150 students as of now.
Since the inception, the Mechanical department was affiliated to Technical Examination Board (TEB) - Gandhinagar, Government of Gujarat. But in the year 2007, with the establishment of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) - Ahmedabad by the Government of Gujarat vide Gujarat Act No. 20 of 2007, the department was affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) - New Delhi, Government of India.
It's regular Diploma Mechanical Engineering programme had been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi in year 2010.
Department of Mechanical Engineering (Grant-In-Aid) of B & B Institute of Technology offers Diploma Engineering courses in various facets of Mechanical Engineering. We had a team of highly qualified, experienced, matured and dedicated faculty members who are committed to carve a name in the top echelons of the academic and professional world. The Department has laboratory and workshop facilities with state-of-the-art equipment to carry out research in all areas related to Mechanical Engineering.
Our objective is not to merely produce professionals capable to serve their own needs but Endeavor to serve the society with great concern for human values.
