Description

In this project, we chose Nigeria and Germany because of the rich heritage to the world. Numerous artifacts within the museums assist in preserving and promoting Nigeria`s culture and arts. Nigeria has a young population. Also, there are numerous things to learn nationwide because it has more than 300 communities.

One of over 1000 artifacts returned to Nigeria from Germany. This is interesting to me because of the issue with the British museum not returning the artifacts they stole from all over the world, and Deutschland finally reached an agreement in 2022.

Germany to return looted artifacts to Africa – DW – 06/29/2022Germany has agreed to return trove of looted African colonial artifacts, including over 1,000 Benin Bronzes that will be repatriated to Nigeria.

Lessons Learned

I learned a lot about Nigeria and more about Germany. It was interesting to compare and contrast the different ways countries perceive things and potentially interact with each other. I also learned ways to communicate with my partner and it was very educational.
