This malware attack directly targeted anyone with a bank account. The police cannot find a motive but people from 15 separate banks were attacked. The malware was put on the play store and posed as the real banks app. I recommend downloading McAfee or double checking before you put your personal information into any site especially a banking site/app.

This hack was successful against two hospitals as a ploy to get more business for a cyber security company. The hacker attacked the health providers phone network and stole the information of over 200 patients through the information in the mammogram machine. The hospital can be more prepared to fight against cyber attacks by taking some of the thousands of dollars they make every day and invest in better security. They could also hire white hat hackers as a form of deterrents as well.
