Online Rules
The online game has the option of setting the guns to "auto" in which case the gun crews automatically fire a broadside into the nearest enemy ship, or "manual" in which case the players issue orders to prepare either the port or starboard battery of their ships to fire as part of their orders submission. As a result, the rules differ slightly depending upon which option is chosen for the game.
