From 2022-2025, over 20,000 batteries were collected and recycled at the Loudoun county Hazardous Material Recycling Drive!
Before recycling the battery, you must make sure to take a piece of non-conductive clear tape and tape the ends of the battery to prevent current transfer.
Most battery boxes do not require this and ask for you to just put the batteries and tape them off before giving them away for recycling but if you want to go to recycling centers you must make sure to do the previous step in order for those batteries to be accepted.
