How you doing? Been busy with exams and stuff but now I'm completely free which means I can work more on the game. So, what have I been working on?
First of all I've released a patch to 0.5. Bug fixes mostly. And I've just finished 0.6, which contains:
Tim Drake Robin.
Ability to Fast-Travel from anywhere.
Ability to take off the cowl/mask.
Ability to take off the suit. You no longer have to reset to be able to change the suit.
A few new in-game notifications.
Improved Free-Flow combat.
Improved enemy AI.
New Jason Todd Robin skins.
Not many things compared to previous updates, I know. But that doesn't mean the game is nearing completion. 0.7 is gonna be one of the biggest updates ever, completely overhauling some parts of the game, like the UI and the city. With 0.7 I'll start polishing the game, which means a lot of Quality-of-Life updates and changes.
Anyway, below, as usual, you have a few screenshots, gifs and videos.
Hi, been a while. Seems I can't actually keep you posted. Since the last Devlog I've made some progress and I also got hacked. Yay. I got my account back but I had to use the one-time Account Restore that Roblox grants you. Anyway, here's some stuff I've done.
First of all, I've released 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4. FYI, this is what 0.3 featured:
Nightwing.
New Detective Mode that allows things to be visible through objects without changing the whole world's transparency(and thus, removing lag when using Detective Mode).
Fixed the invisibility Grapple bug. Turns out that if you tween the position of the HumanoidRootPart on the client the server will fling the player's body. Changed that to Tweening the HumanoidRootPart's CFrame.
Added the Batcomputer(model only).
New thugs that actually work. Something going on with CollectionService, so I resorted to having a script in each thug. In the future the game will duplicate the thug to where he is needed so having a script per thug is not gonna be a big deal.
Removed the Explosive Batarang and added the Freeze Pellet in its place.
More Batmobiles.
Brought back the Over-The-Shoulder camera. It breaks less things now but it still needs some work.
Robin skins.
In-Game Menu with info about characters(Not all of them added).
Xbox support.
Riddler Trophies.
Compass.
And 0.4:
Batgirl.
Gadget Screen(Like in Arkham Knight).
Mobile Support(Roblox is a bit stupid when it comes to some things so the gadgets won't work for now, except for the Grapple and Detective Mode).
Proximity thugs(Basically when a player approaches certain areas thugs will spawn and when the player leaves it the thugs disappear; to reduce lag).
Random crimes.
Improved UI.
Nightwing skins.
Location markers(For the Batcave, Gotham, whenever a random crime appears).
The first of many stories unlockable by collecting Riddler Trophies in the In-Game Menu.
Improved environmental feeling of the game(Batcave ambient, reverb, that sort of stuff).
Paid Testing(A way for me to get funds for the game and maybe future potential projects).
Now it's time for 0.5:
Jason Todd.
Data Saving.
More Batman skins.
Batgirl skins.
New Robin skin(Thrillkiller).
Batwing Fast-Travel 2.0(compatible with mobile).
Free-Flow Combat Pre-Alpha 1.
New Gotham City layout(Unfinished, extremely W.I.P).
Audio zones removed.
Ability to trigger custom missions using the Batcomputer.
New Notification system.
Improved Detective Mode.
Below you have a few photos with the additions as well as some videos and the promotional roadmap.

Aand it's been more than a month already. Wow time flies. Anyway, since the last devlog I've released 0.1, updated it with some patches and worked on 0.2. Right now the version is 0.1.2, but it's not like it matters. I'm not updating 0.1 anymore since 0.2 is right around the corner. I imagine you're wondering what 0.2 will feature so allow me to enlighten you.
0.1 featured some of the core mechanics of the game. I'm talking about Running, Grappling, Gliding, the Batmobile system, Crouching, Detective Mode and a few gadgets(Batarang, Smoke Pellet and Explosive Batarang).
0.2 is going to be a big update, hence why 0.1 is not getting updated anymore. I'm putting everything(including what little patches 0.1 required) into 0.2, which is going to feature these things:
New Grapple system with Edge Detection. Just like in the Arkham games.
Improved aestethics. Some more details in the main menu scene, more buildings and lights in the city, etc.
Combat. Will not be exactly like in the Arkham games. For now. Sometime in the future I definitely want to make it Free-Flow, though.
Thugs. Since Combat is gonna be simplistic, for now, so will the thugs. Once Combat gets improved so will they.
New suits! Batman is going to get a few new suits, such as the Arkham Origins, Asylum and City suits. I met a clothing designer and I gotta tell you: he's really good! I'm excited for the future suits the game is going to feature!
Robin! Dick Grayson will be playable, finally!
New suit-up sequence. With cutscenes, UI to select which Batsuit, or Robin suit, to use, etc.
Fast-Travel. Using the Batwing you'll be able to Fast-Travel to Gotham.
If you've noticed, I said that Dick Grayson will be playable, not Robin or Nightwing. Here's why. When you join, you won't choose if you want to play as Batman, Robin, Nightwing, etc. You'll choose between Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, etc. Then when you suit up you'll be able to select between Robin and Nightwing(for Dick), or Robin and Red Hood(for Jason), etc. Aand as you probably guessed, Nightwing will not be playable in 0.2. You'll only be able to suit up as Robin while playing as Dick. In 0.3 I'm thinking about making Nightwing playable, although I've been thinking about making Batgirl playable in 0.3, instead. We'll see.
Now, if you're wondering how you can play the game, this is how I'm planning to make it possible:
Since 0.1 I've organized a few giveaways with access to the game, but this has an issue. Once people win they have to send me their Roblox usernames and then I have to white-list them in the game's code. So, instead, I've been thinking about doing this: when you join the game, if you're not already a tester(and white-listed), then you'll be prompted to purchase a gamepass that gives you access to the game. Why a gamepass and not directly paid access? Because this is the only way the current testers will still be able to play.
As for the price, I've been thinking about making it 25 Robux, with it going higher as the game gets more content, but I'm not sure. We'll see.
Anyway, below you have, as usual, the link to the Discord server and some footage of the things I've been working on as well as a look at the Arkham Origins suit and cowl.

Holy hell it's been almost two months since the first Devlog. Truth be told, not a lot of development has happened because after some initial feedback, the game had a problem, a huge problem: the city was its weakest feature. And after some thought I realized that it was true. Gotham's layout really was the weakest part of the game and so, a new layout was in order. After some initial setbacks it finally came to a conclusion: yesterday I designed the final layout and today I built it in Roblox. Right now the city isn't much, it's mostly empty, but some roads do have street lights and buildings, as you'll see in a screenshot down below.
So, with that out of the way I can answer the long running question: when will 0.1.0 be done?
Answer: Really soon.
All I have to do now is update some gadgets, polish the Batcave terrain, add the UI and the minimap and DONE! 0.1.0 is finished.
Now, on to the second question: How can I play it?
Answer: Join the Discord server as I'll do a giveaway with access to the game once 0.1.0 is close to being complete.
Two months for just a city layout? Not really.
I've also redone the glide, grapple, morph system and I've added something no game on Roblox has ever seen (to my knowledge): Cape fluidity. The last one wouldn't have been featured in the game if not for a friend of mine (his twitter is down below, make sure to follow him as he has some great systems).
Anyway, now that the city is kinda taken care of I can focus on getting 0.1.0 out the door. Until then, hopefully, I'll keep you guys posted here and on Discord.

New Gotham layout
Progress on Gotham
It's been nearly a month since I announced the game and ever since then all I did was tease the game a bit on its Discord(Link at the end) and show a few screenshots. But don't worry, progress is going according to plan, which looks kind of like this:
Make the buildings that will fill the small 0.1.0 area of Gotham
Add details to the city such as trash cans and other stuff
Polish stuff that needs polishing such as the Batcave's terrain
Add the updated mechanics
Add the UI
Put the finishes touches on the game before making it available to Developers and Early Testers
Right now I'm still making the buildings but I can happily say that I'm getting stuff done faster than I expected(take in consideration the fact that I find making buildings tedious, since I'm not very good at it or at designing buildings). I'm thinking 2-3 more weeks before the small city area is filled. FYI, the concept is below.
But, just in case I get stuck at building don't expect a delay, 0.1.0 is not the finished version which means I can always add buildings later, like with Gotham Fear.
Anyway, after I'm finished with step 1 everything else will go smoother and 0.1.0 might even be finished early-July. Until then I'll keep you guys posted here and on the Discord server(link below). Oh yeah you also have some screenshots.
