Bath Mindfulness Trail will be running throughout the SparkFest 2021 and will take place in the woods at Newton Park campus, Bath Spa University.
Bath Mindfulness Trail is a sensory journey that invites people to spend a day alone and reconnect with themselves, their senses an the nature.
To take part you just have to follow the points on the map (see map below), find QR codes, scan them using a barcode scanner app on your phone and listen to mindfulness exercises to awaken your senses and self-awareness. Specially designed soundscapes by various talented artists were made to accompany the walk.

You are encouraged to document your journey through photos, videos, recordings, notes, sketches, artefacts and anything else. You can choose to keep them to yourself, but we would be very happy to see them if you choose to share it. Simply tag #bathmindfulnesstrail or send them to artery.lab@gmail.com.

Simply open this map on your phone, follow the points and look for QR codes. You can stick to the walking path, but we encourage you to find your own ways, to be explorative and awaken the curious adventurer within yourself. Enjoy!

Although this event fits within all the government set Covid-19 guidelines and has very low risks of spreading or passing Covid-19 virus, you are advised to take the full responsibility to keep yourself and others safe. It is advised to carry with you a face mask and preferably a hand sanitizer in case you have to cross your route with someone on your way.
Each trail taker is also responsible about ensuring their own safety by choosing appropriate clothing and taking paths that the trail taker feels comfortable with and are in accordance with their physical abilities. The trail will be available 24hours, however it is not advised to take it during the dark hours of day due to safety reasons. Please keep at hand your emergency numbers on your phone and let a friend or a relative know about you taking the trail and the times.
Please be very cautious and respectful towards nature, keep any litter with you and dispose of it at a nearest bin. Don't abuse of the nature and private lands by breaking or damaging it in any way. If you see a piece of litter, pick it up and gain some extra karma points. Please don't make any wild fires. Enter and exit this journey with a lot of respect towards yourself, others and the environment.
