CITY NATURE CHALLENGE MINDFULNESS TRAIL

__________________

APR 30 - MAY 4

The fourth annual global City Nature Challenge begins at the end of April. One place to take part is in the Carrs' Wood near Twerton. This year Bathscape is partnering with Bath Mindfulness Trail to offer an audio trail that includes simple mindfulness exercises to awaken the senses and help spotting the wonders of nature in a more mindful way.

To take part you will only need your smartphone with access to data (and a pair of headphones if you are going alone). Follow the points on map, find QR codes, scan them using the barcode scanner app on your phone and follow the link to audio guidance and exercises. You can start the trail from whichever end (blue point) you want.

You are also encouraged to download the free iNaturalist app and take photos of the plants, insects, animals, birds or fungi you spot on the way. No expert knowledge is needed and the app will help identify findings, or photos can be shared with the global community.

We’ll give you tips on what to look out for, and you can download these activity sheets for children too.

You might also spot some fairy doors...
