Bath Mindfulness Trailstarted as a week-long event in January that aimed to provide a day for people to spend alone with themselves, their thoughts and feelings, and activate their senses through simple mindfulness exercises.
To take part people would register for a free ticket, receive an online map, pick a trail and bring along their smartphones with access to data and a set of headphones. At each point on the map there will be a QR code that will lead to a link for the audio guided mindfulness exercise dedicated to a specific sense. In addition trail takers would have an opportunity to enjoy a specially designed soundscape to accompany the walk.
There is no limit of age and abilities, and no previous experience in mindfulness is needed. The trail takers can choose to take one or several trails one or more times.
This event was created in response to current pandemic. Fresh air, physical activities and nature are very beneficial to mental healthand wellbeing and should be accessible to anyone. While we were denied to socialise and meet with others, Bath Mindfulness Trail encouraged to befriend yourself, learn to appreciate the presence and find magic in the smallest of things.
This event is FREE of charge and is possible thanks to support from your donations.
