From NBA season 2018-19, we illustrate charts related to the difference of each Team compared to their opponent in:
- FG%
- eFG%
- 2pt%
- 3pt%
- Number of Shot Attempts (ie 0.44*FTA + FGA)
Data acquired from Basketball-Reference inside tables Team and Opponents Per 100 Poss Stats. Log file is here.
Obvious correlation between the Difference in FG% and Team's ranking. Deviations such as Houston are explained due to
significant more 3s and with better 3pt%.
As in every year from 2014-15, GSW are having the best FG% and the biggest difference compared to their opponents.

Golden State Warriors with major positive difference compared to their opponents.
Milwaukee Bucks extreme difference between all of their Opponents at 2pt%. Giannis Antetokounmpo is contributing to his Team via his 64% at 9/14 2pt shots!
Milwaukee Bucks as the Best team in Regular season has negative balance.
Houston Rockets with a +1.6% and LA Clippers with +4.5%. The difference in Standings is explained in the Number of 3pt Shots: Rockets are attempting 15 more 3pts per game than their opponents, while LA Clippers are shooting 4 less 3pts.
No visible trend between difference in 'Number of Shot Attempts' (0,44*FTA+FGA) and Standing of the Team.
Oklahoma City Thunder with a major difference with 5.5 more shots per game than their opponents. This is the explanation why OKC has lower percentages than their opponents while having such a high Win-Lose Record at 44-33, 60%
