The Charity Game (TCG)
The charity Game is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2017. The chairman, Guy Muya is a former captain of the Belgian Basketball National Team. He has been collaborating with foundations and non-governmental organizations such as “Action Damien” in Belgium and “PJB Goma” in Congo for many years, and decided to carry on activities in helping the most vulnerable population.
The organization aims to promote social inclusion through a non-exhaustive list of drivers like sport, education and culture. To reach those objectives, the association uses its network and develops activities and partnerships to support national and international organizations in meeting their goals of serving the most vulnerable population in Belgium and throughout the world.
The Charity Game has shown some great expertise in coordinating a major event in 2017. At this occasion, it gathers a team of international professional basketball players, to compete against a team of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. On top of those 24 players, 3 international referees officiated the game, table officials, Dj’s and entertainement groups, contributed to make the event an incredible memory. It was a unique opportuny to break barrier of social status and raise awareness on charity. More than 250 fans and 30 volunteers gathered to help build a classroom fully equiped and a basketball court.
The association also worked with TADA, a non-governmental association in Belgium active in social inclusion through education delivering workshops based on values of sport.
The Charity Game believes sport is the most efficient way to overcome differences, break barriers of language, race, age, religion, gender, culture or disability. We aim to implement values of sport to empower youth to become tomorrow role models.
