The School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham is delighted to invite submissions for the inaugural Birmingham Annual Symposium in Computing (BASiC’25). This one-day event aims to showcase research across a broad spectrum of computer science topics, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and spark engaging conversations among researchers.

We welcomes submissions from doctoral researchers at the University of Birmingham who are exploring any aspect of computing, including (but not limited to) cyber-security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, software engineering, socio-technical systems, computer vision, control, reinforcement learning, simulation and theoretical computer science. We encourage work-in-progress as well as more developed research, emphasising a supportive environment for sharing ideas and receiving feedback.
