Dr. Baruah is a social psychologist whose research is in the fields of group dynamics and organizational behavior. She examines the social and cognitive processes underlying creativity and productivity in groups and individuals. Her current research focus is on understanding the effects of cultural and functional diversity, emotion, and interaction modalities on creativity and innovation in virtual as well as face-to-face teams. Her lab develops intervention strategies for creating supportive team environment. Additionally, she conducts workshops on managing diversity and enhancing collaborative innovation in teams.

Research Interests: I investigate how culture influences people's language while engaging in groups. I also incorporate how social factors influence short and long term cognitive health outcomes.
Personal Interests: In my free time, I write poetry, watch anime, engage in fashion design, and read eldritch-themed novels.

Research interests: I am interested in collaboration within groups, social dynamics within virtual environments, group decision making within religious groups, cognitive biases of in-groups and out-groups, and social adherence to authority figures.
Personal Interests: I enjoy sports, classical literature, and outdoorsmanship.

Research Interests: My focus is centered on experimental psychology, with an emphasis on gender differences at both the individual and group level.
Personal Interests: Beyond academics, my interests include equestrianism/horsemanship and reading mystery/thriller fiction.

Research Interests: I study how creativity and collaboration can be supported in real-world settings, focusing on how technology such as AI can enhance innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving.
