Nothing says unique like sharing 2 typefaces with hundreds of other brands. So we decided to create a typeface of our own and tapped London-based font foundry Dalton Maag to help.
Together, we created a beautiful typeface that celebrates Capital One’s brand and mission: Optimist. Designed to reflect their distinct personality, Optimist is the connective tissue of Capital One’s visual language. It unifies all of the communications they produce each year, creating a cohesive brand experience that’s unmistakably Capital One.
With its built-in functionality, 5 weights—in both regular and italics—and 98 language options, Optimist was expertly crafted to enhance readability for over 45,000 associates and millions of Capital One customers world-wide.
