Postdoctoral Position in Chemistry

This 1 year postdoctoral position is funded by an MRC impact acceleration award. It aims to build on our recent work (in review) to develop novel methodology towards peptide natural product derivatives to tackle antimicrobial resistance.

This project is an exciting opportunity to be involved in an interdisciplinary team. It will involve generating a peptide library and screening it this against a known protein target. The project is in collaboration with Prof. Rivka Isaacson (KCL chemistry) and Prof. Tim McHugh (UCL, microbiology).

Candidates should hold a PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Biology. They should be an excellent synthetic chemist with, ideally, experience in solid phase peptide chemistry. Previous experience interrogating peptide-protein interactions using biophysical methods would also be desirable.

Deadline 4th Jan 2024.
