October 21st - E1 Feedback Form

Hello everyone! We have our our official E1 Feedback Form prepared for you all. We greatly look forward to hearing how the event went for each of you!

Additionally, filling out the feedback form earns you CP! 

The form will also be sent out via email to those who attended the event.

October 20th - LARP Decompression Worksheet

We have our LARP Decompression Worksheet available for anyone who would like to fill it out to assist with post-game decompression. They will also be printed and available onsite at events from now on forward if you want to do some mid-game grounding (Community Feast is great for that!).

October 14th - E1 COVID Test reminder

October 10th - Game-On Mod Player Survey & The Storm

October 9th - Book of Remedies 

Hype post of the day, we are excited to present to all of you... our Book of Remedies! 

Those with Mask Up will be especially interested I'm sure, and many a critter has suffered the occasional Dry Squeak or Fleas over their lifetime. Be sure to visit the Distillery to consult the book, and get your cures/treatments.

October 7th - Watch Wednesday

September 24th - Event 1 Cancellation 

After considerable discussion and reviewing all of the variables, it is with a heavy heart we announce that the Event this weekend is canceled.

We understand that this decision will come with a lot of heartbreak and disappointment, and we are so grateful for the patience and kindness you have shown to us and your community.

What does this mean for the future?

Event 1 will now be our October 16-18th weekend. We will also still have 8 full weekend events for our campaign, thus extending into fall of 2028.

What about my event payment?

We will push your registration to apply for the next event(s), unless you want a refund. If you are wanting a refund, please send us an email at barrowswatch@gmail.com 

September 23rd - Weather Update

The Director Team has been keeping a close eye on the weather leading up to the event.

Currently, we have been seeing reports of 20-30mph wind speeds during the day Saturday, with gusts possibly reaching as high as 40mph. At night the reports are speeds around 15-20mph, in addition to cold temperatures and rain all weekend. 

At this moment, we are still planning to run the event. We are adjusting our schedule to account for the weather conditions and will keep you all updated with any new information. 

For those who are tenting, if you are using your tent, you must set up your tent in the middle of the Big Lot (towards the right half to avoid blocking cars driving through, but not under trees). If possible we encourage sleeping in your cars instead, finding offsite accommodations, or reaching out to us to request sleeping in the modhall. 

Our Market Hours/Lunch time will be changing to 12-3pm in the main modhall, where you can all socialize with each other and NPCs, do some trading, play some games, and be safe from the rain/wind. (This is not mandatory and you may return to Cabin Town after lunch). Our Community Feast will also take place in the modhall at 5-7pm. 

If wind speeds reach 50+mph, or a state of emergency is declared, we will cancel the event and notify you all as soon as we know.

We thank you all so much for your patience, and please prioritise keeping yourself and others safe! 

September 22nd - E1 Menu

As a reminder, staff serves Breakfast both Saturday and Sunday, as well as Lunch on Saturday. There will be a soft stop on Saturday for dinner that players provide for themselves. The provided meals are as follows:

September 20th 2026 - Rulebook & Crafting Updates, and COVID Testing Reminder: 

Please keep your eyes on emails to come with information regarding logistics for the event! Included will be weather update, a map and site guidance, essential need-to-knows, and most importantly... A reminder that a negative covid test is required to attend the event, for both staff and players. Please send the results of your test to barrowswatch@gmail.com within 48 hours of the event (no earlier) The CP earned through the Amazon Wishlist has been incredible! To make sure it all arrives on time, we will be placing our order tomorrow night, so this is last call for anyone who wants to earn some hot lizard time or gain aid from other places/people! WE HAVE SOME SOME RULE/CRAFTING CHANGES! New versions of the Barrow's Watch Rulebook and Crafting Recipe list are now available! Check the Changelog in each document for a full list of changes.

August 20th, 2026 - Rulebook 1.0 Version

We are happy to announce that Rulebook 1.0 is officially uploaded and ready to go. We have posted a changelog at the end of the book to cover what updates have been made. 

May 28th, 2026 - Player Lottery is Closed

Thank you everyone for signing up, the Player Lottery is now officially closed as it ended at midnight on May 27th, 2026. Winners of the Lottery will be notified if they got in through email, and anyone who was not able to get in as a player will be added to a waitlist and notified of there position on the waitlist. We expect to send out the results on Wednesday June 3rd.

Happy Watch Wednesday, we have some incredibly exciting news for you this week... LOTTERY SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN!!!

We also have all the details regarding our War Day! This event will take place May 24th at the Oddfellows Lodge (16 Maple St, Belmont, MA). Doors are open at 1pm and we will be running scenarios both upstairs and downstairs until 5pm. 

We will then be ordering pizza and doing a general Q&A, swap meet, and hanging out while cleaning up! 

War Day Preparation: Feel free to wear any kit you want to test out the movement on (especially armor), and boffer weapon(s) you want to use, lend or get the feel for. Packets are highly encouraged (we will provide some), but we will not be able to test out bow and arrow at the lodge. 

Crossbows that use nerf darts are acceptable. Some of the scenarios we will be running are fighting against a giant monster, outlasting a horde of enemies, sneaking through obstacles and engaging with some of the social aspects. We will have pre-built character loadouts to test, but highly encourage testing your own builds as well (bringing a 3 skill, 6 skill, and 10 skill is perfect)!
