'Portraits' capture the personal turmoil of the self in quarantine. The pictures were taken at a time when the COVID-19 Pandemic had compelled us to retreat to our houses. We were not stepping out or meeting people, as a result we had to spend a lot of time with ourselves. Sometimes, that was uncomfortable. Coming back home was uncomfortable. This series reflects upon how some of us had to revisit some old memories, some old relationships, only to realise that either all memories are false or we have come a long way. It explores the mind that is split between what really was and what is remembered.
