'Age' focuses on how the skin is the most genuine document of our lives. It is a series of photographs which look closely at the skin and its numerous layers, all representing an old landscape - still sturdy, still necessary. The series aims to tell the story of Bangladeshi refugees who came into the country during the 1947 Partition and the 1971 Indo-Pak war. These refugees played a crucial role in building the country's economy. But now, in their 60s and 70s, they find themselves cornered and are on the verge of losing their identity. The series will create awareness and tell their untold, unrealised stories.
