Position Overview: As a Volunteer Community Advocate you will play a vital role in helping us extend our reach and impact in our community. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about making a difference, building meaningful connections, and contributing their time and skills to a worthwhile cause.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaboration: Collaborate with our Board other volunteers to achieve common goals and objectives.

2. Communication: Maintain open, unbiased communication with residents, board of directors and entire volunteer team. Provide updates to our board as needed.

3. Companionship/Emotional support: Spend quality time listening and reminiscing with community residents. Foster an environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.

4. Provide in-home assistance: Assist with in-home basic activities of daily living. Including companions, light housekeepers, laundry, meal prep, errands, handyman, organization, respite relief for caregivers,medication management, help clients establish community resource connections.

5. Engagement: Assist our residents in participating in activities of interest/hobbies they enjoy. Act as a liaison between the organization and the community events.

• Basic computer/phone skills,familiarity with social media platforms.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a Florida State Level 1 background check. (no fingerprinting)
