George Barber: Designer
Level and Puzzle Designer
Currently Working on...
I am currently working as a level designer at Triangular Pixels, but I like to keep on top of my own level design projects. This project is in a very early stage, using a map inspired by an fps game, and transferring it to an RPG formula, plotting boss sections, short cuts and secrets for the player to find.
Design Projects
Year 3 project - When an action figure, killing machine is placed in a peaceful dollhouse, the player must do what they can to survive. Created in Unreal engine 5.

About me as a Game Designer:
I am currently Working as a Level Designer @Triangular Pixels.
Being a level designer requires that I work and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members in development. These include other designers, environmental artists as well as programmers and writers etc. Although my core skills are based around level design, I also have experience in a variety of puzzle designs, UI and AI placement, as well as other skills such as UE5 blueprints and systems design, all of which I am looking to improve upon and expand. I have worked on projects using the Unity engine, Unreal 4 and 5, proving I can adapt quickly to utilise both of their design tools including Unity's Probuilder and Unreal's modelling system.
Teamwork is a major part of game design that I really enjoy, but being allowed to use my own creative mind to release my ideas is also important. I am excited about the future and am looking forward to a fulfilling and rewarding career as a game designer.
