Over the years the Christmas Walk has been organized by multiple groups and has even changed names. 

We felt it was time to create an official Barberton Christmas Walk non-profit group to ensure that the Walk will continue for many years to come. Unfortunately, creating a 501(c)3 takes time and money. We have begun the process, but it will not be finalized until 2023.  For 2023, we will be operating under the South Summit Chamber of Commerce.  

We invite YOU to be a part of the 2023 Barberton Christmas Walk! 

If you are located in Downtown Barberton, we encourage you to decorate your windows (to participate in the Window Decorating Contest), stay open late, offer a free snack or special event to customers, have a costume character *, participate in Downtown Holiday Passport **, play Christmas music, anything to help spread holiday cheer.  

If you are not located downtown, think about what you could do to bring your Barberton business downtown. Do you have a mobile truck? Could you set up a tent & table on the sidewalk? Do you need to be indoors with electricity? Give it some thought and contact us to help you come up with a plan. To participate you must offer a free item to festival-goers or donate to the group monetarily.

We are currently in the planning stage, so final decisions can be made later, but if you would like to participate, please complete the 2023 Barberton Christmas Walk Participation Form to be included in communications going forward. 

If you are in a position to help us financially, please see the Barberton Christmas Walk Sponsorship Form for benefit levels. As funds are received, our committee will discuss the possibility of adding activities, such as children’s craft, ice carving, shuttle service, costumed carolers, live entertainment, etc.
