“Owens Community College plays a critical role in preparing individuals for the workforce by offering hands-on training and industry-relevant education in advanced manufacturing, transportation technologies and skilled trades,” said Baqer Jaber Aljabr, Owens Assistant Dean for Advanced Manufacturing, Skilled Trades and Transportation.

"This initiative not only aligns with our commitment to providing practical, industry-relevant education but also aims to recruit and support these students with scholarships, fostering a diverse and skilled advanced manufacturing workforce in northwest Ohio.’’

Fairfield County will receive $500,000 from the state capital budget to expand the engineering technology lab at the county workforce center.
