Day 7 (4/21): Traveling to Chefchaouen
It was another day of travel, the day we go our way in groups of two for a week to teach!!! Team Chefchaouen (myself and Karen) took the train with team Tangier bright and early in the morning.
In general I love train rides and I have taken trains everywhere I have been to. It is a short 2 hour train journey and was so looking forward to experiencing train journey in Morocco and looking at the view outside the window ! I will miss the rest of the group so much and can’t wait to see the photo updates from everyone from all different parts of the country.Moroccn train was extremely clean, with fantastic wifi and the natural beauty of Morocco is unparallel. Our kind host Aziz Maruan was waiting for us at the Tangier train station.
Aziz picked us up and off we went on a guided ride through the beautiful cities of Morocco until we reached Chefchaouen around 9 pm. I swear I was not in South of France ! I was in Morocco. Specifically in Tangier. This place is so breathtakingly beautiful that it is hard to explain in words. At time I felt I was in Southern France or Spain, and sometimes I felt I am in Greece or Switzerland.
The ocean is deep blue and mountains are lush green, streets impeccably clean. The most fascinating part being how close it is to Spain. There were places during our drive where we could see spain clearly !!!
Posing continues as we drive around beautiful Tangier.
You can see Spain in a distance standing right here !
Go through the photo Carousel below of Tangier to get a glimpse of this beautiful city !
