Welcome to the South Ribble Men's Shed (formerly the Bamber Bridge Men's Shed)
We have a weekly meeting of men aged 18 and older where we share hobbies and chat over a brew and biscuits.
The group is open to men aged 18 and older (no under 18s, sorry) and you don't have to book, just come on down and you'll be made very welcome. The introductory period is free, and then a small fee per week to cover room hire and refreshments.

History of the South Ribble Men's Shed
History of the South Ribble Men's Shed
Established in January 2025 when Martin Topping, volunteer Chair of the Carr Street Community Centre committee offered 8 weeks of free meeting space for the formation of a Shed by the community.
Local Councillors David Bollenberg, Chris Lomax, and James Gleeson supported the Shed as it was set up by the members, and they secured 16 weeks of funding to cover the room hire.
In May 2025, the members formed the first committee and plans began to be laid for the future and expansion of Bamber Bridge Men's Shed.
In June 2025, members were invited to support the Battle of Bamber Bridge celebrations as event stewards. Members also helped tidy up the area in advance of the event, as well as bring the Big Brig Planter back to life as the Shed began to help in the community.
In July 2025, members held a BBQ, games nights, and a sitcom evening.
In March 2026, the shed changed its name to South Ribble Men's Shed

February 2025: Introductory talks by members on their hobbies, electronic circuit making, stamp collection talk, guitar & amp demo, quiz night.
March 2025: Accordion demo, North West Shed event in Preston, talk on safety from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service, games night.
April 2025: Live music quiz, St George's night (pie & chips plus a quiz designed using AI tools), Subbuteo night, electronic circuit making.
May 2025: Battle of Bamber Bridge talk, demo on drones, talk on wild camping and bush craft, games night.
June 2025: Quiz Night, games nights, planning for the future chats, beautifying and stewarding at the Battle of Bamber Bridge.
July 2025: BBQ, games nights, and the first sitcom watch-in!
August 2025: Brig History Walk, quiz night.
