Game Design
As a research and writing intern, I designed a tabletop roleplaying game with my fellow interns to teach youth about Snug Harbor's and NYC's rich 19th century history while engaging their imagination. This is a game that we constantly refined over the course of two internship programs, with extensive research, development, and playtesting.
In summer 2021, we won 2nd place in the national Game Plan competition sponsored by Games for Change!

Public Health
In summer 2021, I also participated in a public health incubator housed by the nonprofit H.E.A.L.T.H. for Youths and Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Here, I collaborated with three other interns to research trends, community perspectives, and impacts of diabetes and poor nutrition. To address these two public health issues, we proposed virtual information sessions to educate families about diabetes as well as the distribution of gardening kits and tasty recipes in a community health fair.
I designed the gardening informational sheets below for the fair.
