Ben Abrams is positively euphoric to be a part of SYT's tour this year, after participating in last spring's tour of The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! Previous roles include: To Kill A Mockingbird (Atticus Finch), Holmes and Watson (Holmes 1), We Will Rock You (Commander Khashoggi), 9 to 5 (Franklin Hart Jr), The Rocky Horror Show (Riff Raff), And Then There Were None (William Blore), Peter And The Starcatcher (Fighting Prawn), Rock Of Ages (Lonny), One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (Martini), and Boys in the Band (Hank). J.R. Bloomer is thrilled to be back with the Spartanburg Youth Theatre having toured last spring with The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! Recent credits include Daryl in Bright Star and Willard in Footloose with the Spartanburg Little Theatre. Other credits include Dan in Next to Normal, and William Barfée in Spelling Bee with the Limestone University Theatre. He would like to thank his family for always supporting him, and his partner, Bre Surratt!
DOUG EGGE
Doug Egge is thrilled to join SYT in bringing this interactive and magical story to the children in our area. Notable credits include Uncle Aubrey in Red Velvet Cake War, Wes in Footloose, Walter Cunningham in To Kill a Mockingbird, Mal in The Addams Family, Preacher in Southern Baptist Sissies, The Laramie Project, Bernard Warde in Red Velvet, Captain Slank in Peter and the Starcatcher, and Ram’s Dad in Heathers. He can be seen every year in Ballet Spartanburg’s The Nutcracker. He has also served as Artistic Designer for Disney's Frozen the Musical, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Crucible at Spartanburg High School. Doug wants to thank his understanding wife Shana for allowing him to “live in a play” a few times each year.
