Teacher Student Growth Measure

The Teacher Student Growth measure counts for 60% of the TIA score to determine designation. 

Student growth will be calculated for all students that have a designated fall (BOY) and spring (EOY) assessment. Student growth performance will be associated with a teacher or teachers based on the following enrollment criteria:

• Teacher of record at PEIMS snapshot date (October), and

• Teacher of record at PEIMS winter enrollment (February), and

• Teacher of record at end of year test date enrollment (April), and

• Student caseload for other 087 instructors that are not teachers of records (i.e. special education teachers)

Teachers will be required to complete a Teacher Roster Verification process to ensure that class rosters are accurate. Student growth will be calculated at the teacher level. If a teacher is assigned to multiple assessed content areas, the overall average of student growth will be used for the student growth measure data.

Ballinger ISD Student Growth Measures

Ballinger ISD completed the TIA Application Year of the Local TIA Designation System during the 2023-24 school year and received approval to begin the Data Capture Year during the 2024-25 school year with Cohort G. Ballinger ISD’s Local TIA Designation System received full system approval in February of 2026 following data validation. Ballinger ISD will submit data annually, with the goal of state approval to issue additional designations each Spring and compensation the following Summer.
