Our group aims to develop catalytic materials that are utilized in sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. Using both catalysis and synthetic materials chemistry, we employ operando spectroscopic techniques and well-controlled catalyst synthesis methods. The goal of this research is to elucidate active site structures under reactive environments in order to design and develop improved catalysts.
June 2026: Maddie presented at the Gordon Research Conference on Catalysis!
May 2026: The whole group presented at the Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Department Research Symposium and the Michigan Catalysis Society Annual Symposium!
March 2026: Majed successfully defended his thesis! Huge congrats!
The group spent a week at SSRL for our first beamtime!
